This week mainly involved staying in and looking after Dad2BabyInsomniac again. Things are getting easier although we still have another 10-12 weeks until he can bear weight on his ankle so it’s gonna be a long few months, for him especially.
The weather has been absolutely terrible again, I don’t think I have seen a day of no rain for weeks, so I have had to find something else to occupy myself. Something like…. rearranging more furniture!
I have been sorting out Iyla’s room as her bed is turning up on Monday.
Sunday was the most exciting day of the week as we actually all went out. It was Father’s Day so we went to our local garden centre for lunch. They do the best banoffee pie in the whole world. Then on the way home we stopped and picked up all the flat-pack furniture for Iyla’s room. I LOVE constructing flat-pack furniture.
Other highlights of the week involved buying a slow-cooker – something which I am hoping will lead to us eating more home-cooked meals. I am always too tired to cook in the evening so if I do all the prep in the morning then it’s going to make my life a lot easier. I also went out for a meal with all my mum friends on Thursday night. We rarely get to all see each other these days as everyone works on different days so it was really nice to all catch-up, plus I think we managed about half the time not talking about kids which is an achievement these days!
Oh and I only have one more week of college!
