I mentioned in my last post about bedrooms that Cherry and Tiger are sharing the largest room in our house (while we sleep in what feels like a wardrobe!). We put them in together when Tiger was about 7 months old and we were really lucky because they never disturbed each other.
When Tiger used to wake up crying Cherry just slept right through it and when Cherry used to make a fuss at bedtime Tiger used to actually fall asleep to it.
That was 18 months ago and they are still enjoying sharing a room, listening to them chatting to each other before they go to sleep and first thing in the morning is so lovely. It also buys us a bit of extra time in bed of a morning as they happily play together for nearly an hour before coming in to us.
When they first started sharing a room Tiger was in a cot and Cherry was in a toddler bed with a bed guard but about six months ago we moved Cherry into a big girl’s bed and Tiger into her old toddler bed.
Cherry’s new bed is a cabin style one which I’ve decorated with washi tape, you can see more photos here.
Cherry used her bed guard right up until she moved into her big bed by which point she was nearly four. I know some people don’t use them at all but she would fall out every time we tried to take it off so we found it an essential item.
