5 Tips To Staying Active During Lockdown

During the Coronavirus lockdown, you might be feeling unmotivated and unproductive – whether you’re currently working from home or not. But during this time, it’s vital that you stay active and healthy – otherwise, you’ll come out of the lockdown feeling very sluggish.

  1. One Long Walk a Day

Under current government rules, you’re allowed to go out for one form of exercise a day. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy a wonderful, peaceful walk away from the four walls of your home. 

If you have countryside near you, you’ll be able to head out and clear your mind, whilst working out your body. Although it might seem scary to go for a long walk when social distancing is in place, if you go somewhere that has fewer people, you’ll feel less on edge.

  1. Workouts in the Garden

Alternatively, if you want to stay at home, alongside yoga and virtual workouts, there are other fun exercises that you can do. For example, you could go out into your garden and do the plank, squats, weight training or skipping. The latter comes with several key benefits, including building your stamina, toning your calves and tightening your core. 

Many of these sports only require a small amount of space too, so don’t worry if your garden isn’t the biggest and you don’t have a lot of room to play with.
