The weather has been absolutely awful this week and after waking up to torrential rain this morning it was tempting to stay in all day, especially as I’ve got a cold, but by lunch we were all a bit bored so we decided to take a trip over to a town near us for a little walk. I also thought it would be a good idea to combine it with taking some photos for this post which is going to be talking through the Sainsburys clothes that I recently chose to feature on this blog, what with Mr C’s operation then him being away for a weekend I’ve had no-one to take photos of me for weeks so I have a backlog! Hence the real reason why I thought it was a good idea to go out in such awful weather 😉
As it turns out luck was on our side because when we left the house it was pouring down but by the time we got there it had stopped and the sun even came out, for a few minutes anyway.
When Sainsburys asked me to collaborate with them I headed over to their website to see if there was anything from their TU Clothing range I liked as I’ve never bought clothes for myself from there before, I’ve bought loads of things for the kids from there before but our local one is only small so the women’s range isn’t very big. I found loads online though and took a particular liking to a few bits from their Gok Wan range which seems to be really popular as there weren’t many sizes left in anything.
Which Sainsburys clothes did I go for…
This blouse was the first thing I spotted and I just love the pattern and the colours of it, as I mentioned above there was limited stock and they didn’t have my size in it but as I loved it so much I decided to risk it in a size smaller. It came with a little vest attached so I cut that out which made it fit me a bit better, it is a bit shorter than I would have liked but they have sold out online and in most Sainsburys stores now so I’m glad I got it while I could!
Then I chose the Gok Wan black jeggings, I love black trousers and seem to live in them in the winter, usually with black tops too. I go overboard with floral bright skirts in the summer so as soon as the seasons change I end up living in black for months. I love the fit of these jeggings, they are super supportive and feel like they hold your tummy in really well. Annoyingly I’m at a size right now where a 10 fits fine until I sit down by which point it is a bit tight on my tummy but a 12 ends up going a baggy. I’m pretty sure it’s because I have been gorging on chocolate and not going to the gym as much now the summer has ended which leaves me with the option of cutting back a bit more so my size 10 clothes fit better or just eating way more chocolate until a size 12 fits me better, tough decision! Given that most of my clothes are a size 10 I do really need to get down the gym a bit more.
Then I chose these black chelsea brogue boots. I’ve never owned a pair of brogues and to be honest I don’t think I ever will, I just don’t think they are very me and I wouldn’t feel comfortable in them but I really liked these boots and at £25 they are an absolute bargain.
I also chose this teal jumper which I’m not wearing here as the weather is still so mild, this knitted headband to keep my ears warm (I hate getting cold ears!) and Cherry’s jumper is from their kid’s range.
All this Sainsburys clothing came in at under £100 and that’s why shopping for clothes in supermarkets is so great. It’s really affordable and it’s so much easier to shop for clothes in a supermarket than it is to try and traipse around high street stores with kids. Thanks to trolleys and snacks 😉
After taking these photos we headed over to feed the ducks before stocking up on essentials and heading home for dinner. Now we are off out to watch some fireworks.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!
Thanks to TU at Sainsburys for gifting me the clothing items for this post.
