I absolutely love colour so the theme for this year’s Bestival caught my attention when looking into UK festivals coming up later this summer. Those of you who have been following me for a little while will know that Matt and I grew up in Glastonbury and attending the festival there was something we had been doing for years until having kids when we took a little break.
Since becoming parents we’ve been to a number of smaller festivals but although they were great fun I personally miss having well known musical acts to go and see so I was on the lookout for a festival that wasn’t too big, had some well known bands, was family friendly as well as being suitable for us to leave the kids at home for a night and head in on our own.
This is when I stumbled across Bestival, which caught my attention because it’s moving to a new home this year, Lulworth Estate in Dorset which isn’t too far from us. It’s where Camp Bestival is held, a festival which is aimed at families but I really want to see The XX, Jarrod Dickenson and Rag N Bone Man who are all going to be at Bestival itself.
I love the sound of the Slow Motion arena where they are hot-tubs, yoga classes, saunas and a plant-based café!!
The website itself is so colourful and the areas all look awesome, love the look of The Temple and Caravanserai, also the Love-Bot and the Ambient Forest. You can find the website with lots of info on what’s going on and the full line up here. It all looks right up our street, phase 4 tickets are on sale now, you can buy them here. It’s being held on the 7th-10th of September.
I love a festival to have lots of interesting areas to walk around as well as some well-known musical acts which is why I love the look of Bestival. It looks like they have the perfect balance when it comes to what we are looking for. Here are some photos from last year…
I’ve applied for press accreditation, my fingers are crossed!
