Saving Money On Day’s Out

by Jessica Amey

When Cherry was a baby I was so excited about all the fun days out we’d be able to go on.

In reality though it can be quite difficult to find things that don’t cost a fortune. Some places actually charge full price for kids over three which means that a family day out can end up costing nearly £100 by the time you’ve factored in petrol and lunch.

In a bid to save their customers money Direct Line have started Let’s Go. They are working together with over 6000 partners to offer deals such as 2 for 1 and kids go free, not only on family days out but also on talent lessons, football, health and fitness, paint-balling, martial arts, beauty treatments and much more.

To sign up you just need to register on the site with a valid Direct Line policy number.

You can then search for local offers by entering the town or postcode of where you live then adjust a slider to select how far you are willing to travel.

Then it brings up a list of all the places near you.

One of the offers that comes up in Somerset is a child going free with a paying adult to Wookey Hole Caves, this is actually a really good deal as kids tickets are £12, so if you have two or three children then the saving is huge.

We went there last year and the cave tour is really great, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I think Let’s Go is a great idea, anything that can save you money these days is definitely worth signing up to!
