Read…
A few more pages of Gone Girl although my brother bought me the DVD for my birthday so I think I am going to watch it before finishing the book.
Watched…
Sky have decided to delete Mad Men when I was four episodes from finishing so thanks for that!! Our year of Sky is up next month so we are going to cancel it and get Now TV instead, so much cheaper and you get all the movies. I will miss being able to record shows but for £9.99 a month you can’t really complain!
I also watched the final episode of The Affair last night which was rubbish. I really thought the story would be wrapped up but it looks like they are going to drag it out for another painfully slow and boring season. I’d like to think I won’t watch the next one but I probably will because I want to know what happens, I literally hate the main characters though. The only good thing about it is Pacey from Dawson’s Creek.
Oh and Sons of Anarchy has just been added to Sky box sets, you can still get these on Now TV so I’m going to be starting from the beginning for the fifth time!
Wore…
It’s funny because I only ever used to wear black but lately I seem to be the opposite and love wearing bright colours. I found this skirt in a charity shop for £1.99 and love it, it looks like something my gran used to wear but that’s what I tend to look for in clothes these days. In fact I quite frequently see old ladies walking down the street and think ‘ohhh, I want their skirt’!!
Heard…
I got sick of all the CDs in my car so went rummaging through some stuff for some old ones, turns out I had thrown them all away (having clear outs always backfires!) apart from a Bob Marley Remix Album. It reminds me of when Mr C and I first got together as it was always playing in his car, this song is my absolute fave…
Made…
I’ve joined in with the Minion madness that seems to be taking over the world and made some Minion glasses for the kids, I’m quite pleased with how they turned out even if I do say so myself! You can find out how I made them here – How To Make Minion Goggles.
And Lastly…
On Saturday we went to one of Mr C’s car shows where there was a bit of a disaster, he crashed the car he spent so long building, you can’t see the damage in this photo as it was on the other side but there was a lot. Luckily he was okay though apart from whiplash and concussion. I didn’t actually see the crash which is a good thing, bloody men and their dangerous hobbies!
And if you are interested then you can see the GoPro footage of his crash here…
And on Monday it was my 31st birthday! Mr C had to work so I met up with my dad, sister and brother in Bristol. We were going to go to a National Trust place but it rained heavily on the drive up so we went to Cribb’s Causeway and stuffed our faces all day instead! Nandos followed by a walk around before going to have cake and tea. I don’t get to see them very often so it was really nice to catch up, and we had a separate part of restaurant all to ourselves so didn’t have to worry about the kids making too much noise. It feels weird to already be a year into my 30s, it’s definitely been my best year so far but the idea of heading towards 40 is pretty scary, it’s just not an age I can imagine myself being!
