Dulux Bedroom in a Box Review

by Jessica Amey

I love painting, there is something so satisfying about transforming a room with a brush.

Dulux, the paint company known for quality, have teamed up with Walltastic and added a new product to their line – The Bedroom IN-A-BOX and I’ve been sent one so that I can tell you all about it.

The idea behind Bedroom in a box is that you can transform you child’s room without any of the hard work that usually comes with decorating. Everything you need comes in the box.

It comes in two designs: Jungle Adventure and Fairy Princess.

I chose the Jungle Adventure box as it will appeal to both boys and girls.

Each box comes with a tin of paint for the walls (2.5l), a tin of paint for the skirting boards, some wallpaper adhesive and a mural (L10 x H8 feet). There is a calculator to help you determine if you need more paint and if you do then there is an option to add another tin.

The photo below shows the Jungle Adventure design and it really does make you feel like you are part of the scene, something which kids will absolutely love.

One thing I did notice is that the box comes with matt paint, I personally would find that a bit of an issue as I find matt paint marks too easily especially with kids. I think offering a choice between matt or silk paint might be a good idea as silk is so much durable.

If you have a little girl who loves pink and princesses then you might want to see this…

Cherry started screaming with delight when she saw it, she shares a room with J though and I don’t think he would appreciate pink walls and life-size princesses surrounding him while he sleeps!

Overall I think it’s a great idea and is a really quick way of giving your child a room they will love. There are some new designs to be added to the collection soon too – Sea Adventure, Peppa Pig, Avengers and Wall Art.

What do you think, is this something you would think about using for your kid’s bedroom?

The kits are available to buy now for £70 and if you would like to find out more then you can here – Jungle Adventure or Fairy Princess.
