So one more week until the last Friday of January and I cannot wait. I’ve really struggled this month, I’m not getting much done because I can’t seem to get back into my habit of waking up early. I was managing 6am until the start of this week when I came down with a bit of a cold and needed the extra sleep again. I’ve even been going to bed at 9pm some nights too, all I want to do it sleep so I’m really looking forward to the evenings and mornings starting to be a bit lighter.

I am still loving Tattoo Fixers and is actually responsible for me finally making an apt to have the horrendous one on my back covered up, my appointment is later today actually and I’m really looking forward to it. I also have plans for lots more so it’s safe to say that by the end of the year I will be fairly covered in tattoos.
We’ve also been watching Walking The Himalayas, The Undateables and the new series of First Dates. I love all these shows.
And I’ve also watched something really exciting this week, I’ve mentioned Mr C’s ‘Drift Rod’ before but a big YouTube car channel contacted him last year to see if they could make a little film about it. It was uploaded this week and has had nearly 90,000 hits already and has been featured on some really big websites in the states which is pretty cool. He literally built it from scratch so it’s awesome to see his talent being recognised, I’m so proud of him!
It’s funny how he won’t even let me point a camera at him but he’s happy to be interviewed for a video that thousands of people will see!

I’ve also been working hard to finish my first crocheted blanket. I have three that I’ve started but finishing them is the hard part so I really want to make an effort with at least one!

I wore my new knitted snood the other day, didn’t manage to get a photo but I will take some soon as I need to blog about it. Other than that it’s either been big coats or pyjamas, it’s been way too cold for me this week although it was nice to have some sun. It looks like the milder temps and rain has returned again now.

We’ve been listening to lots of Amy Winehouse. I love her so much, me and my sis used to be huge fans and saw her live a few times. Once in Bristol and then a couple of times at Glastonbury Festival, we were always at the front singing (wailing) along to all her songs. She was so talented, I watched the film a couple of weeks ago and just can’t believe how rubbish everyone in her life was. Her dad didn’t seem to give two craps about her, only showing up once he could benefit from her financially and as for Blake. Well they should both be held jointly responsible for her downfall.
And Lastly…
I’ve been dealing with the crappy side of being self-employed this week, for the most part I love it but this week saw me doing my tax return (yuk) and chasing invoices. It’s so frustrating when people don’t pay on time, especially when it’s January and you need the money!
