Up And Coming Fragrance Brands Worth Keeping An Eye On

by Jessica Amey

Fragrances have a strong connection with our emotions; finding a new perfume could potentially have the power to change your whole outlook on the day. But with so many brands on the market, finding one to suit everything you need can be tricky.

That’s not to say all hope should be lost.

There are now hundreds of fragrance brands out there, all with their own intentions and visions for the world of perfume. We’re here to take you through some of the brands worth keeping an eye on, from classic family names to up and coming ventures. The best part? All brands mentioned can be found online from the likes of parfumdreams. Without further ado, let’s begin!

Annick Goutal
Annick Goutal is a perfumer for the French High Perfumery, and one of the few brands to have its own in-house chemists. The company maintains high standards by manufacturing everything, from fragrances to packaging, entirely in France, with expert artisans who assemble them by hand.

BYREDO
Ben Gorham, the founder of this Swedish perfume company, combines distinct cultural allusions from South Asia into his creations. Ben’s mother is half- Canadian and half-Indian, which influences his fragrances by melding the East and West.
All of BYREDO’s scents are created and assembled in Sweden by hand, with the majority of ingredients coming from all over the world.

The Different Company
The Different Company was founded by Jean-Claude Ellena, one of our era’s most successful perfumers and the creator of fragrances for companies including Hermès, Bulgari, and Cartier.

Frederic Malle
Frederic Malle traces his perfumery roots back to his great-grandfather, who created Parfums Christian Dior. After serving as a professional fragrance evaluator and critic, Malle started his own eponymous business, which is focused on promoting the scent rather than the brand. Frederic Malle collaborates with some of the world’s most renowned perfume creators to create individual scents that are not restricted by any one house style, including Dries Van Noten and Pierre Hardy.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Francis Kurkdjian earned his degree from the distinguished perfume school, ISIPCA Versailles. He created Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier at the age of 26, which has since become one of the most popular scents in the world.
After creating more than 40 fragrances for other well-known fashion labels, he launched his own maison perfume house, which now boasts of having been recognized by authorities like WWD as a game-changing innovation.

Xerjoff
Xerjoff perfumes are most widely recognized in Europe and the Middle East, with production located in Turin, Italy. Their bottles are made of quartz stone, Murano glass, and other precious materials, giving them the appearance of sculptural
artworks.

ODIN
Odin began creating their own scents in 2009, inspired by the “exoticism of travel.” The fragrances are all simply named numerically in chronological order of creation, with locations like the Himalayas, West Indies, Jordan, Japan, Turkey,
and the Mediterranean as inspiration. Their scents are pleasant and powerful; they’re all unisex.
