Home Family Life Golfen in the Wind

Golfen in the Wind

by Jessica Amey

I’ve lived in England all my life yet it never fails to amaze me just how much our weather can change in the space of a week.

Last weekend it was absolutely boiling and this weekend was a mixed bag with Sunday being so cold I needed to wear a jumper AND a coat!

I really do struggle when the weather is rubbish, I try not to let it ruin my day but I find it so hard not to spend all my time thinking about how much better it would be if it was hot and sunny.

It always makes us want to pack up and leave England. Talk turns to buying a campervan and escaping the next winter and we start dreaming about life somewhere hot and sunny…

Anyway even though it was cold the sun did still make an appearance on Sunday so we managed to get out for a walk followed by tea and cake at a lovely little tea rooms.

I finally got around to having Tiger’s footprints tattooed on me last week. It didn’t actually hurt as much as I remembered, it’s addictive though. I’m already planning my next one!

Yesterday we went to a BBQ in the day followed by a wedding reception in the evening. My diet for the day consisted of Pimm’s and bread rolls with a couple of sausages and a burger thrown in so today we are chilling out and eating healthily!!

What did you all get up to?
