How long has it been since I last joined in with Little Loves?! I actually just checked and it was in February which seems totally crazy. I’ve had a funny thing going on with blogging over the last couple of months, I got so fed up with comparing and stat checking that I decided to just step back from it all and it seems that I did it for so long that now I’m kind of missing it. I feel like I’ve neglected my blog so I’m going to try and post a bit more frequently.
Read…
I think the only thing I’ve read is Mollie Makes mag which I subscribe to and a book about starting an Etsy shop, you will see why in the made section…
Watched…
This is always my favourite section because I love talking about things I’ve watched and hearing what other people have enjoyed. Sooo we watched a film last week called The Walk which is about a guy who walked across a high wire in-between the twin towers in 1974. It took him 6 years of planning and he did it without a harness on, he also spent 45 mins on the wire lying down and doing all sorts of crazy things. I was on the edge of my seat watching it, it’s such an amazing story but you don’t even really hear of it, well I hadn’t anyway. The images of the real thing are on Google. It was really inspiring.
Another really inspiring thing we watched was a series called Tales of Life on Netflix, it follows 6 extreme photographers on their journeys around the world to take the ‘perfect shot’ of something they had imagined in their minds. It’s really, really good.
I’ve also discovered Sex and the City in the box sets section of my telly so I’ve been binge watching that from the start, I used to watch it when I was about 14 (it was basically my sex education!) but that was ages ago so I’m really enjoying it. I haven’t seen the film either, or is there two? So I still have no idea who she married, I always liked Mr Big though.
Made…
I’ve been doing lots of making because I’ve just launched my Etsy shop, Disco Sloth Designs, I’m going to be selling bright and colourful crocheted items like dreamcatchers and necklaces as well as upcycled denim jackets etc. This is a little selection of what I will be selling, I think it reflects my love of bright colours 😉 £2 from each sale will be going to a different charity too, an animal one for the animals and a homeless one for the skulls. Actually as I am writing this my phone just started beeping telling me I had my first sale which is very exciting!
I’ve also been making lots of food, since becoming vegan I try to make everything from scratch, even bread, I actually have an Instagram full of photos of what we eat, it’s @eatingvegan_uk and I get strangely excited about it just being photos of food!
Wore…
Basically pyjamas and slippers, we’ve all been ill and have only had one car so haven’t really left the house much this week.
Heard…
I’ve been listening to lots of The White Buffalo because Mr C and I have tickets to go and see them in January, they do quite a few of the songs in Sons of Anarchy and we love his voice so I’m really excited. We are staying in a hotel too, with no children!!
And Lastly…
We are off to Moors Valley country park again this weekend, to pick up our tree and to do the Go Ape run again.. only this time I’m meant to be doing it with Cherry instead of Mr C. I have a phobia of heights so I’m not too sure if I will make it but I’m determined to give it my best shot!
