For the last four years we have only had a bath so I am well and truly used to that method of washing.
My hairdresser is always amazed at how I manage to wash my hair in the bath as it’s quite long and there is rather a lot of it but I’m so used to it now that I can do it in no time (I use a jug of water to rinse all the conditioner out properly).
I have a bath every night and it’s one of my favourite things to do, I find it so relaxing and after a long day of looking after children it is just what I need to switch off for a bit. Especially with loads of lavender oil in it.
But as much as I love having baths, I do also love having showers and when we are staying away it feels like such a treat to be able to have one. On a really hot day having a shower is so much nicer as you feel refreshed whereas sitting in a lukewarm bath just doesn’t have the same effect!
You can get so many different types of showers these days too, I love the rain effect showers.
We went to a spa a few weeks ago and they had one, I also love the ones with jets that spray out from the sides. In my dream house I want to have a wet room with the most amazing shower, although to be honest I would settle for a power shower for now.
Tesco have put together this shower buying guide which has lots of helpful advice when it comes to buying a shower. It explains the differences between electric showers, mixer showers and power showers and helps you make the right choice depending on what kind of boiler you have. For instance, if you have a gravity fed boiler system then a power shower would be the best fit as it has it’s own pump to power it. If you have a combination boiler then a mixer shower is the best choice and if you have an un-vented system then an electric shower would be the best option.
I never knew there was so much to choosing a shower.
