Just over a month ago we went on a little holiday to Bluestone in Wales. If you missed my first post about the resort then you can read it here.
In this post I wanted to talk about one of our favourite areas. Hidden down in the woods of the resort is an area known as ‘Camp Smokey’. It’s a log cabin type building and has an outdoor fire pit for toasting marshmallows.
The inside also has a fire and sells lots of smokey BBQ food such as pulled pork sandwiches and chicken fajitas.
The Camp Smokey rules…
As well as Camp Smokey there is also lots of tree top adrenaline fueled activities going on in the woods. They do panning for gold and into the wild for younger kids then tree climbing, zip wires and tree top walks for the older kids and adults.
If you go to Bluestone then you definitely have to make a visit to Camp Smokey.
I had to add this photo as it made me laugh, the kids were exhausted and Cherry had dropped her pen into the water so was distraught then Tiger copied her crying so they both screamed all the way back.
During our time in Wales we also had a little trip to Tenby which is a lovely little seaside town. The beach there is huge and there are rows of coloured houses around the coast which are really pretty. Cherry had shells in that nappy bag by the way, she wasn’t just carrying around one of Tiger’s nappies!
You can read all about Camp Smokey here.
And in case you missed it last time, here is a video of our time in Wales.
We were invited to stay with Bluestone for four nights.
