Toronto, the capital city of Ontario, Canada, is a great destination for families and you will find no end of things to do during your time there.
Most attractions are easily reachable by foot too or public transport too so you shouldn’t have to spend too much on travel.
Ferry to Centre Island
My kids love a ferry ride in itself but once you get over to the island why not visit the Centreville Amusement Park? You will find over 30 rides and attractions, great for younger children.
Visit a theme park
If you have older children or you are a family of thrill seekers then why not check out a proper theme park, we would definitely visit here! Canada’s World has a big thrill section, a kid’s area and a water park so it will keep the whole family entertained.
High Park
High Park is an area of 399 acres in the middle of Toronto and is a great place to visit for people of all ages. There are children’s play areas, hiking trails, sports facilities, picnic areas and even a zoo.
Legoland Discovery Centre
My kids would choose to go here over everywhere else, they obsessed with Lego! This would be a great place to go if it’s raining too. There’s lots to do including a Lego Friends area, a Duplo section, Ninjago city adventure, 4D cinema and more.
Ontario Science Centre
If you want to do something educational with the kids then the science centre is well worth a visit. With ever changing exhibitions, an iMax dome experience and science demos, it won’t just be the kids that have a great time.
Climb the CN Tower
You can’t really come to Toronto and not visit the CN Tower. Defining the Toronto skyline at 553.33m, the CN Tower is Canada’s most recognizable and celebrated icon. Might want to stay away from the glass floor if you are scared of heights.
If you are thinking of visiting Canada then why not check out some information on flights to Toronto?
