Home Christmas A Few Of My Favourite Festive Things

A Few Of My Favourite Festive Things

by Jessica Amey

When it comes to festive style in our home we couldn’t be any further from traditional, well I say ‘we’ but in actual fact it’s just me and Cherry who put any effort into the decorating. Mr C doesn’t pay any attention to the pink crocheted decorations that I spend my evenings making for the tree and Tiger chose a car decoration but isn’t really bothered about making any.

Cherry and I seem to share the same love of bright, sparkly decorations. We don’t really have a theme but neon seems to have featured a lot in our random collection of festive things this year.

Redrow are running a competition this month and to be in with the chance of winning £1000 of Not on the High Street vouchers they want you to share a photo of your 3D mood board full of all the things that best describe you and your home this Christmas. All you need to do to enter is share a photo on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #VeryMeThisChristmas.

Here is mine and I feel it reflects me and my house this Christmas pretty well! I knitted the mini jumper as a decoration for the tree, I’ve also crocheted some. Crochet and knitting are huge passions of mine right now and I spend every evening working on my projects.

Then the stocking and bauble decorations are ones that I made with Cherry, we love making things for the tree and tend to have more handmade things that bought things. It’s nice as we can make new ones each year as well as keeping some of the older ones.

The other bright and colourful things are from Paperchase, I’m completely in love with their entire Christmas range this year and own nearly all of it. The bright colours and contemporary design make it right up my street.
