Plus Plus Bricks And More Crafty Picks

by Jessica Amey

As part of my collaboration with The Kid Who I’m back with my crafty picks from their website for this month (you can see last month’s here), well it should be for September but I’m a tiny bit late as things have been super busy round here. If you haven’t heard of The Kid Who then I will just quickly mention again that they are a fab company who sell all kinds of wonderful things for children. If you are looking for presents that are a bit different then I would definitely recommend them.

This month I chose some of these Plus Plus bricks for the kids to try out. They love playing with bricks and I loved the way these looked a bit different. They come in two sizes, midi and mini, we went for the midi which are about 5cms long. Apparently schools use them as part of the curriculum in Denmark as you can see why as you really have to use your brain when putting them together. They can be joined at all angles and made into either 2 or 3D so the possibilities of things you can do with them are endless. We chose the box of 200 which means there is plenty for both of the kids to play with and as you can see they come in a range of colours as well as being free from phthalates and PVC.

The kids absolutely love them and have been playing all sorts of games with them since they arrived. Cherry has been making doll’s houses and Tiger has been making garages for his cars.

They would make a great Christmas present and you can get the mini ones in a whole range of colours too so worth checking out.

Next up I chose this three section kid’s tray. They are multi-purpose and come in 6 different colours, I thought it would be great for crafting. When we are playing with Hama Beads it can be good to have somewhere to sort the colours and this is perfect. It would also work well for putting different sequins or craft materials on. They are actually made from bamboo so are completely natural which means they are BPA, PVC and Phthalates free. They can also go through the top rack of the dishwasher and take hot food so would be good for kid’s dinners.

Then lastly we chose this Let’s Draw With Oscar book which is full of pages to colour in and doodle on. There are holes in some of them so when you turn the page you can see what happens. Cherry is really into colouring at the moment so she’s loved making a start on this book.
